As week for peace draws to a close it is time to consider what we mean by peace. What does it mean on an international scale, on a local scale and to us personally?

A panel of speakers will reflect on what peace means for them, and afterwards the discussion will be open to the audience.

The panel will consist of Alan Simpson, former Labour MP and now advisor to Friends of the Earth; Millius Palayiwa from Zimbabwe, who worked for International Alert before becoming the first black Director of the Fellowship For Reconciliation; Gus Hales from Veterans For Peace, a veteran of the Falklands conflict who suffered from PTSD for many years; and Dr Musharraf Hussain Al-Azhari OBE, the Imam from Karimia Mosque. Dr Musharraf was awarded his OBE for services to the community and interceded in Iraq on behalf of British hostage Ken Bigley.

With this wide range of experience, we're looking forward to an interesting and thought-provoking discussion.
